Hello, thank you for visiting our website.

I am the minister at Liverpool Road Methodist Church here in Birkdale and I also share pastoral oversight for the Church of St Philip and St Paul with Wesley on Scarisbrick New Road.
I am Grandad to Kerensa and Tegen, Father to Charlotte , James, Andrew, Christine and Beth and Husband to Ann.
I am a Mathematician and Computer Scientist and worked in the Nuclear Industry for 17 years.
I have been a Methodist Minister since 1990, serving in the Hazel Grove and Poynton Circuit for 7 years and in the Wigan Circuit for 11 years before coming to Southport in September 2008.

I believe with all my heart that I am called by God to be here and I thank God for that calling. I believe that God created the entire universe with the intention of sharing his love and joy with all of humankind and gave his Son Jesus as proof of his love.
Despite its many frailties, I remain convinced that the Christian Church has been raised up by God to play an essential part in the fulfilment of his intention.
I am committed to work with the people of Liverpool Road Methodist Church toward our realising all that it means to be “Church”. I believe that through the Holy Spirit we are adopted as Children of God, incorporated into the Body of Christ and empowered to be the Salt of the Earth and a Light to the World.
